A socio-economic impact assessment framework for the transportation projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) umbrella was generated as CPEC aims at introducing massive scale development projects within the infrastructure, industrial and transportation domains. A comprehensive framework was devised to understand the complex nature of socioeconomic impacts underpinned by transportation projects and the results of framework highlighted the fact that the level of impact for the respective districts depends highly on the existing scenario and is also associated with the overall development of the province.
