Business Plan and an Operational Plan for a SME-Focused NBFC
Reenergia was involved in reviewing and analyzing the competitive environment of SME lending in Pakistan, i.e. the “Supply Side”. Analysis of secondary data on Pakistani economic sectors relevant for SMEs was conducted, along with a segmentation of each sector by size, profitability, growth, capital requirements, and other relevant parameters. For each segment, identification of business model, value chain analysis, identification of key sectoral challenges, and identification of key players in each Value Chain, the “Demand Side”.Furthermore, actionable Product/Sector Portfolio for the NBFC was prepared, which consisted of a detailed Product Suite (including pricing policy, collateral approach, possible use of scoring/automation, use of grace periods, use of proceeds for each of the targeted economic segment/value chain), Programme-based financing, Delivery Channels & Marketing approach, and a Risk Matrix and narrative analysis for each targeted segment.
